Same old s**t, different programming language

Anyone bored with doing the same thing all the time but in different languages?

Worked with PHP, Python, C#, etc but every project is near enough a carbon copy of the last: Login pages, product pages, colorpicker, datepicker. I’m bored of it and need some excitement. I’d love to research untapped things that no one has done before. I’ve never been able to replicate the excitement I got from doing my uni dissertations (both of which were in things no one knew much about yet), it was about discovery, research, etc. I get excitement from pen testing but I’d bet with a few reports under my belt I’d get bored of that too

Is there a job which sounds more suited to me than a developer?

Any advice would be good

Hi @cnaimhin - the first thing that came into my mind was documentation - mostly because you have to understand the thing to be able to document it. It’s not as “glamour” as other things but rewarding to flesh out intricate topics for more advanced users.
